That’s Opera Talent
The casting that puts you on stage

An online competition to discover new opera singers and classical musicians. That’s Opera Talent is a project promoted by Ricordi & Co., YouTube, and the Puccini Festival Foundation, under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth: it is a true casting in the quest for new talent. It represents an unusual formula designed to bring young people closer to music and opera, enhancing Italian opera culture and providing visibility where it is deserved, for those individuals possessing the talents necessary to succeed.

 

The ten winners (soprano, tenor, four violinists, two viola players, a cellist and a double bassist) will have the chance to perform for four evenings at the Torre del Lago Puccini Festival in July and August 2010.

 

The entrant receiving the highest number of votes from visitors to the YouTube website during the second Review will win the chance to take part in a Masterclass for young singers and musicians as part of the summer courses run by the Accademia Internazionale della Musica (International Academy of Music) for the Milano Summer School.
